With only one day left before the ICC Cricket World Cup kick off in Australia and New Zealand, the cricket world is boiling, and cricket enthusiasts from around the world are all waiting to see the big matches and celebrate their favorite sport.

But great cricket news is also happening on the other side of the globe. Yesterday marked the opening of Norways first indoor cricket training hall. This means cricket now can be played all year round!

This new facility in Oslo is great not only for the existing cricket players, who will be able to train there, but will also help in creating a greater community for one of the fastest growing sports in Norway. There is a also a great focus on encouraging girls to come and play, and there will be arranged a free cricket school for beginners under the age of 15, both girls and boys.

If this will contribute to lure Sachin to Norway, only time will tell, but either ways it’s a good reason to celebrate!
